#1 Strong Opinions, Loosely Held

Hiya,

I guess we’re doing it. I’ve wanted to start one of these babies for months now, but my incompetencies have been holding me in check. I have little snippets I collect (from books and articles) that I find interesting, and always think… ah, this would be so cool to talk about with someone.

But I don’t.

The thing is, I don’t know enough. I can barely remember the name of a single author. The philosophical theories I consider for days, I would never be able to tell you who’s behind them. But I’m so curious.

And so I’m now trying to design my life in a way that the values I care about can fully express themselves. I care about people, connections, passion, thinking, having a meaningful life and maximising little pleasures.

I’m also starting to accept the ego-driven side of putting yourself on the internet. It’s inevitable if you want to connect at scale, so I’m going to stop fighting it, and try to make it as genuine and interesting as I can.

So, let’s do it.
